In order to offset the increasing operating costs to run SmartyPaws, it has become necessary to (starting July 12th) charge a 3.5% fee for all credit and debit cards used to pay for classes and Doggie Day Care and Boot Camp. However, if you wish to pay by cash, check or Zelle, there are NO fees associated with those forms of payments. The email that you will use to pay by Zelle will be smartypawslv@gmail.com.

Our Cancelation Policy: You must cancel at least 72 hours in advance before the class starts. We may give you credit for a future class, but if you cancel with less than 72 hours notice, there will be no refunds, because you have taken a spot in a class that other people are waiting to enroll in.

Specialty Dog Training

Class Info:

Specialty classes are sports that we teach as requests for the classes continue to come in. Prices vary. Please bring dog on leash 6 ft long or shorter. Updated shots as well as a negative fecal test, that is at least 6 months recent, is required and must be brought with you your first day of class.

List of Classes under Specialty

• Rally I (dogs must have completed a Basic Obedience Class)
• Rally II (dogs must have successfully completed Rally I)
• Nose Work Classes (great for the shy or fearful dog, helps them gain confidence and helps develop team work between dog and handler)
• Barn Hunt (Barn Hunt is a sport where dog and handler teams search for and identify rats hidden in hay. The rats are housed safely in tubes in the hay and are well cared for and not harmed during the event. Dogs just have to find the tube and alert the handler that there is a rat in the tube.
• Therapy Dog Class or CGC Class (Dogs will be tested and if they pass, receive their Canine Good Citizen Award, test will be held on the last week of class.)
• Puppy Social Hour (for puppies under 4 months of age, puppies will socialize with each other and be introduced to new noises, people and textures.)
• Conformation Handling (drop in classes, please contact instructor for details)
